Project Summary
Winky is a skincare brand concept targeting consumers aged 16-24 who are passionate about beauty and skincare. This project explores brand identity development, packaging design, and advertising strategies to establish a strong and recognizable brand presence.
The Problem
Most affordable skincare often lacks the personality and quality Gen Z crave.
For Gen Z, skincare needs to be quick, easy, and multi-functional.
To compete, Winky needs strong branding, clear messaging, and strategic retail placement.
The Competition
During my initial research, I found my top two competitors: Byoma and Bubble. Both are sold at major retailers including Ulta, Target and Walmart as well as drugstores. After, I created mood boards to help me develop a strategy for my brand identity.
